Starting now I shall be making a series of posts called “My Honest Opinion
I’ve said before that I’ve wanted to say more of what I thought. And, I sorta haven’t really said anything to anyone in real life in respect to that. BUT I think this series of posts will help me out a little being that a lot of people read my blog. And if lot of people read this, I think I’ll be more comfortable.
And oh, if you ever wanna unfollow me for some ridiculous reason, please do so. I love every single one of my followers to the max (you guys know that haha), but if I’m ever posting something that ‘clutters’ your dashboard (in your humble opinion), I really won’t be heart broken… Just to get that straight :)
So, on with the show! My Honest Opinion #1
I’ve had something like this written in my drafts quite a while. But because it pertains to a lot of people here on Tumblr, I never really wanted to post it.
Well, it has to do with posting without credit. I know, pretty much everyone here has heard/seen something about this.
But it’s probably *the one* (and only) thing I hate about Tumblr. And I’m pretty sure I stumble upon these posts at least 10 times a day. It’s not like it’s hard to put the credit. You copy and paste the link where you found it (not just the image source from google) and that’s it.
Usually when I see a Tumblr with a bunch of awesome photography, and no click-through links, no Flickr profile, no other website, nothing… I get suspicious.
I’m not saying it’s not possible. I’m just saying photographers don’t often just have all their pictures in low-res on Tumblr with no credit for themselves either.
Besides giving credit for the person who deserves it so much, it also gives me a chance to look at their other work.
Want something from Flickr? Or for a matter of fact, any page? Use the bookmarklet from the goodies page. It’ll give you the picture, and the source all without hassle. Or the link. Or the quote. Or the video.
Bluntly… it’s really not that hard. And I get sorta upset/pissed-off when I don’t see a credit for another person’s work. That is all.
Wow. That was intense. EDIT: FWIW, they aren’t gonna be this long lol
It’s not always going to updated, but I’ll put the pictures I take and put on flickr there, so at least those ones have a source.
I keep on hearing the police have caught me but they wont fix me just yet. I have laughed when they look so clever and talk about being on the right track. That joke about Leather Apron gave me real fits. I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled. Grand work the last job was. I gave the lady no time to squeal. How can they catch me now. I love my work and want to start again. You will soon hear of me with my funny little games. I saved some proper red stuff in a ginger beer bottle over the last job to write with but it went thick like glue and I cant use it. Red ink is fit enough I hope ha. ha. The next job I do I shall clip the ladys ears off and send to the police officers just for jolly wouldnt you. Keep this letter back till I do a bit more work, then give it out straight. My knife’s so nice and sharp i want to get to work right away if I get the chance. Good Luck.

PS. Wasnt good enough to post this before I got all the red ink off my hands curse it No luck yet. They say I’m a doctor now. ha ha
